PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly set a recording position for starting DRAW type recording without causing shifted synchronization even when DRAW type recording is carried out while the shifted synchronization occurs between the synchronizing signal of an ATIP(absolute time in playglobe) and the synchronizing signal of a sub-code. SOLUTION: An address difference between address data contained in recorded data in the final recording area of the data recorded last time and an address already recorder is detected by an address difference detecting means 13, and compensation for a recording position for starting DRAW type recording is carried out by a recording position setting means 14 according to the address difference. Thus, the formation of an unrecorded area or the occurrence of overwriting in the connected part of the recording data by the DRAW type recording is prevented.
