PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb the vibration of a down pipe connecting part accompanied by the vibration of a structure by connecting a flexible joint pipe between the down pipe and a lower drain pipe, and inserting the lower part of the joint pipe to the drain pipe. SOLUTION: A flexible joint pipe 2 is connected between a down pipe 1 mounted on a structure 10 and a lower drain pipe 3, and the lower part of the joint pipe 2 is inserted to the drain pipe 3. The flexible joint pipe 2 made of vinyl chloride is connected to the lower end of the down pipe 1. The flexible joint pipe 2 is a bellows pipe, and the lower part of the pipe 2 is inserted to a drain pipe 5 raised from a horizontal drain pipe 6. At that case, the inside diameter of the raised drain pipe 5 is set sufficiently larger than the outer diameter of the flexible joint pipe 2. Namely, the lower part of the flexible joint pipe 2 can be displaced vertically and horizontally relative to the raised drain pipe 5 and deeply inserted so as not to be slipped out. Accordingly, the joint pipe 2 of the connecting part is excellent in earthquake resistance, and applicable to a general building.
