PURPOSE: A vertical size control circuit of a monitor is provided to convert a display mode without a readjustment of a vertical size. CONSTITUTION: The vertical size circuit of a monitor comprises a current control circuit(30) which, to adjust to a corresponding vertical size for a video timing, outputs a pulse width modulation signal synchronized with a horizontal frequency and corresponding to a vertical frequency and a resolution and controls a capacitor charging current. The current control circuit resistors for a bias (R6 to R8), a transistor(Q2) turned on during an on period according to the pulse width modulation signal(V_HOLD) applied to a base of the transistor(Q2), a switch(SW2) coupled to a collector of the transistor(Q2), a transistor(Q1) having a base coupled to a collector of the transistor(Q2), and a resistor(R9) coupled between a ground and an emitter of the transistor(Q1).
