PURPOSE: A relay is provided to prevent a malfunction, a failure and needless overvoltage, and extend a life time of AC powered equipments, CONSTITUTION: A relay comprises an input port receiving voltage and current; a sensing unit for sensing noise accompanying with the inputted voltage and current; a signal filter for amplifying a signal for increasing accuracy of signal processing; a phase detector for detecting a phase of a sensor; a central processing unit for comparing and analyzing the detected noise from the sensing unit; an output port for displaying the compared and analyzed value from the central processing unit; and a surge suppressor for controlling a general surge of the inputted voltage and the current from the input port and preventing needless overvoltage.
