CONTACTING CHANNEL SEARCHING AND FINGER ALLOTTING METHOD OF BASE STATION

PURPOSE: A method is provided to decrease re-transmitting rate and reduce the power consumption of a moving station by heightening success rate when the base station is received a connecting channel signal. CONSTITUTION: The connecting channel searching and finger allotting method are composed of: the first step that selects an offset having the biggest searching threshold value among offsets that have searching energy over the searching threshold value by searching a connecting channel signal, and that demodulates the signal by allotting a finger according to the received course of the selected offset signal; and the second step that stops searching a new multi-course signal component in order to minimize the interference in decoding of the connecting channel signal of another moving station if one connected channel probe period doesn't pass, and then that returns to the first step.
