PURPOSE: An information reception device is provided to receive a traffic information through a radio modem installing the radio modem to a vehicle navigation device. CONSTITUTION: The information reception device comprises a radio data information center(10), a radio modem part(20), a display part(30), a user interface part(40) and a vehicle navigation device configuration part(50). The radio data information center(10) transfers a traffic information, which is required from a vehicle having a vehicle navigation device(52), to the radio modem part(20). The radio modem part(20) transmits and receives data to and from the radio data information center(10). The display part(30) displays various information provided from the radio data information center(10). A driver inputs through the user interface part(40) commands for requiring various information to the radio data information center(10). The vehicle navigation device configuration part(50) controls the display part(30) so as to be displayed the various information transferred from the radio data information center(10).
