SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INQUIRING A MULTI FUNCTION INFORMATION RECORD MEDIUM

PURPOSE: A multi function information record medium inquiring system is provided to prevent an illegal use of a card by showing serviceable items read by a card terminal to a user. CONSTITUTION: The multi function information record medium inquiring system comprises: an information record medium access unit(10) which accesses an information record medium loading various card functions; a function setting unit(40) which selects user-appointed service functions; a multi function control unit(20) which displays items of the service functions recorded in the medium to read an information storage region of a corresponding medium when an information record medium is sensed, wherein the multi function control unit reads corresponding service function information from an information storage region when a service function is selected; a preservation module(31) which inquires information read from the access unit under an off-line condition and generates additional information according to the inquired result; and a communication unit(60) which communicates with an external inquiry equipment to inquire information of the information record medium under an on-line condition.
