The invention relates to a system (1, 2) and a method for dynamic management of information data (I1..I4) of a virtual device (K) consisting of several virtual partial components (Tl..Tn). The virtual device (K) is the representation of a real device (20), e.g. an industrial facility. A comprehensive overview of the entire device and a target-oriented insight of the partial components of the device is made possible in that the virtual partial components corresponding to the technological structures are embedded as a program in a networking frame structure. The system has a data processing device (2) to manage the information data (I1..I4) associated with the virtual device (K) and for controlling access to information sources (I1..I4). Addresses configured as local and/or global addresses and enabling component or model-based navigation at different levels (Sl..Sn) are assigned to the virtual device (K) and its virtual partial components (Tl..Tn).
