A means of fastening is provided on the support rods(4) between the seat headrest(2) and seat back(1) and to it is attached a holder for an umbrella(7). The longitudinal axis of the support rods and longitudinal axis of the umbrella extend perpendicularly to one another, and the umbrella when retained in the mounting(3) extends at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and locates in a stowage space(6) formed between the support rods, headrest and seat back.
