ACCELERATION SENSOR AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acceleration sensor in which a piezoelectric element is certainly supported so that unevenness of detection sensitivity of an acceleration is reduced. SOLUTION: This acceleration sensor comprises a tabular piezoelectric element 10 having electrodes on its front and rear faces, at least two protrusions 11 provided on a central part of at least one face of the front and rear faces of the piezoelectric element 10 with a recessed part formed between the two protrusions 11, and a support body 16 formed with a projecting part which is inserted between the protrusions 11 so as to abut on the piezoelectric element 10. The protrusions 11 are respectively provided in parallel to a width direction of the piezoelectric element 10.
