PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit sure stamping of sewing marks and folding marks and thus permitting accurate sewing followed by folding, by stamping sewing marks and folding marks on parts on the same conveyor immediately after flame cutting the cloth material. SOLUTION: A cloth material 11 is placed on a slat conveyor 10 in a spread state, carried in direction P intermittently, and passes a flame cut zone 20 and a marking zone 30 in that order. At the flame cut zone 20, a laser beam from a carbon dioxide gas laser moves through computer control to flame cut two pairs of parts containing one piece of strip 12 and a two pieces of side face cloths 13, 13 which make up one pair. Further, in the marking zone 30, sewing marks 32 for sewing air bag parts together and folding marks 33 are marked by a marking robot. Then, the parts are sewed by a sewing machine in a sewing process, according to the sewing marks 32. After inspection, the air bag is folded according to the folding marks 33 to yield a finished product.
