PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiplication system which performs multiplication of a number of long multiple word length in a unified manner and also performs multiplication of both signed and unsigned numbers whose length varies. SOLUTION: A multiplier block 30 executes complement multiplication and multiplication accumulation of 2 of 17 bits × 17 bits in a single instruction cycle. A multiplier performs 1-16-bit barrel shift of a 16-bit operand or an (N×16)-bit chain operand by means of a 4-16-bit decoder 35. |
