PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove an artifact. SOLUTION: A visible joint in an image is removed by randamizing stitch points between scanning lines generated by respective image sources. Randomization is optimized by additionally adapting a method for rearranging random stitch points on the basis of the scanning lines, adjacent scanning lines and other reference data content. A thermally induced error, a spinner synchronizing error, mechanical erroneous matching and in-scanning and cross-scanning errors brought about by other element following the use of a plurality of image systems are compensated.
