<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder that prevents such poor sheet feeding as caused by a buckle in sheets resulting from their setting or the like, owing to its improved operability in sheet setting. SOLUTION: For setting of transfer sheets S on the bottom plate part of a sheet feed cassette 2, a trailing edge regulation plate 22 is held vertical to the bottom plate part by a spring 23. When the sheet feed cassette 2 is loaded in a main body 1, the trailing edge regulation plate 22 is placed in contact with a pressure member 21 at the bottom of the main body 1, whereupon further cassette loading causes the pressure member 21 to tilt the contact surface of the trailing edge regulation plate 22 with the transfer sheets S along the hypotenuse of the pressure member 21 so that the transfer sheets S are moved accordingly toward a slant separation part 5. Perfect cassette loading sets the transfer sheets S on the skew according to the slant of the slant separation part 5.</p> |
