PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a storage container preventing the deformation of side walls supporting an opening and closing member. SOLUTION: A storage container is provided with a base 5 and a pair of side walls 12 and 13, and at least one side wall 13 is provided with a bending edge wall 13A formed by bending one side edge toward the other side wall 12, and an opening section opening and closing body 14 is formed between a bending edge wall 13A and the other side wall 12. The deformation (collapse) of one side wall 13 to the inner side wall by the load of the opening of the opening section opening and closing body 14 is prevented (eliminated) by the bending edge wall 13A formed integrally on one side wall 13. The free end (opposite side to the bending edge wall 13A) of the opening section opening and closing body 14 therefore is not so suspended as to be positioned below a base upper face 5a, and it is not necessary to hold up the opening section opening and closing body 14 when the opening section opening and closing body 14 is closed.
