PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To elongate an intake pipe and shorten the length of a flow passage between a throttle body and a combustion chamber as short as possible. SOLUTION: An outboard motor has an L type 4-cycle engine 9 arranged in cowlings 1, 2. An intake passage and an exhaust passage whose tip parts are opened to the combustion chamber are formed in a cylinder head of this engine. The rear end of an intake pipe 66 is connected to the other end of the intake passage of the cylinder head, the intake pipe is once extended laterally from the rear end and then extended frontward, a bent part and a linear part are formed from the rear end to the front side in order, and the front end of the intake pipe is connected to a surge tank 67. A throttle body 71 is arranged in the linear part of the intake pipe. |
