PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily cut by eliminating evil influence such as lifting or dropping of a retaining roller, a chip breaker or the like, and smoothly feeding a working material. SOLUTION: A rotary planer body 11 is arranged at an interval of feeding materials at an upper part of a transfer flat surface (a) by an endless belt 5. Retaining members made of a chip breaker 13 and a pusher bar 17 are arranged near at hand before and after the body 11, Retaining members made of retaining rollers 21, 23 are arranged before and after the breaker 13 and the bar 17. These retaining members are operated between pressing positions and retracting positions by pneumatic cylinders 15, 19, and 23, 26. The cylinders are controlled by detecting switches for detecting starting and finishing ends of a working material W at good timing. Pressure regulating valves are respectively provided at the cylinders to regulate their pressing forces.
