PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the advancement of preventing lane deviation of a vehicle while alerting the driver that the vehicle has deviated from the lane without disturbing the driver's steering operation and regardless of the steering operation. SOLUTION: The state of a lateral deviation of the vehicle driving position from a reference position of the driving lane is detected with lateral deviation state detection means 15.
