MANUFACTURE OF ORGANIC EL DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an organic EL display which has a high grade of display with a long lifetime. SOLUTION: An organic EL display to be manufactured is structured so that a first electrode as positive electrode 11 (transparent), organic layers 18a, 18b, 18c having organic light emission layer, and a second electrode as negative electrode 17 are formed on a transparent base board 10. The organic layers 18a, 18b, 18c are produced by a light irradiating dry etching method whereby an organic substance layer 12 is irradiated with light so that patterning is made.
