PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid developer for the electrostatic photography superior in the redispersibility of toner particles, electrodeposition strength, storage stability, transferability, fixability, and the like. SOLUTION: The liquid developer for the electrostatic photography comprises a graft copolymer obtained by copolymerizing other radically polymerizable monomers with a macromonomer, having carboxylic groups, obtained by a reaction of dicarboxylic anhydrides with radically polymerizable macromonomer having hydroxyl groups in a part or the total parts of the resin component of the toner.
