PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat transfer recording method by which it is possible to form an image with higher image quality in a heat transfer recording method for transferring a colored ink to form the image after transferring a preprinting ink to the surface of a recording medium. SOLUTION: In the heat transfer recording method for forming an image by heat transfer, on a recording medium using a thermally transferable colored ink, a first step to transfer a preprinting ink to the surface of the recording medium, a second step to heat the preprinting ink transferred from the first step through a mold release treatment face and smooth the surface of the preprinting ink and a third step to transfer the colored ink to the surface of the preprinting ink smoothed in the second step to form the image are provided. |
