PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sensitivity and fog restraint and the storage stability of a latent image by incorporating an emulsion of flat silver halide grains having dislocation lines in at least one of invisible light sensitive silver halide emulsion layers containing a specified compound. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic sensitive material is provided with red-, green-, and blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers and invisible light sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least one of the emulsion layers contains flat silver halide grains having dislocation lines and the invisible light sensitive layer contains an image quality enhancing agent and one of the compounds represented by formulae I or II in which each of Z11, Z12, Z21, and Z22 is a nonmetallic atomic group necessary to complete a 5- or 6-membered single ring or the like; each of R11, R12, R21, and R22 is an aliphatic group; each of R13-R17, and R23-R29 is an H atom or the like; R is an alkyl group or the like; each of (R11 and R13), (R14 and R16), (R17 and R12), (R21 and R23), (R24 and R26), (R25 and R27), (R26 and R28), and (R22 and R29) may combine with each other to form a 5- or 6-membered ring; each of x11 and x21 is ions necessary to cancel a charge in the molecule; each of m11 and m21 is a number of such ions; and each of n11 and n12, n21, and n22 is 0 or 1.
