PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adjusting a rolled shape steel to supply a shape steel high in quality and free from internal stress by an adjustment device without requiring an additional device cost. SOLUTION: In this method for adjusting the rolled shape steel at least one shape steel 1 in which the max. cross section temp. is locally <=Aγ1 and the min. cross section temp. is locally a lower limit temp.ΘU or above is held and cooled to induce the thermal strain of a whole fiber structure of the shape steel 1 by holding it at the lower limit temp.ΘU. The strain is larger than the strain required for plasticizing the fiber structure which receives the max. pressure internal stress by pure air cooling without holding the shape steel.
