PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat mode image forming element having a high IR sensitivity developable by a selective, rapid, simple and ecological method for manufacturing a positive planographic printing plate having excellent printability with a simple method. SOLUTION: The heat mode image forming element, which is a heat mode image forming element for manufacture of the planographic printing plate having a first layer contg. a polymer soluble in an aq. alkaline soln. on a planographic printing base having a hydrophilic surface and the uppermost layer on the same side as the first layer of the planographic printing base nonpermeable to an alkaline developer contg. SiO2 in the form of silicate and insoluble into this developer and contains a compd. capable of converting IR- light to heat in the first layer and the uppermost layer, is provided. |
