PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of disturbance of winding even when winding speed is increased to improve production efficiency in decorative winding of an audio cassette tape. SOLUTION: This is a device for performing decorative winding of an audio cassette in which one pair of hubs 5 arranged previously near a reel hole 3 and a leader tape 6 are stored, and is a decorative winding device provided with at least a tape connecting means taking out the leader tape 6, cutting an intermediate part, and connecting it to a magnetic tape, and a winding shaft 20 inserted and engaged with the hub 5 and giving rotation. In this case, in the winding shaft 20, a level difference part 23 for positioning by which the hub 5 is abutted and positioned, a positioning means for abutting the hub 5 inserted and engaged with the winding shaft 20 to the level reference part 23 for positioning is provided so that it is opposed to the tip side of the winding shaft 20 and it can be moved forward and backward. Thereby, even when winding is performed with high winding speed of 10 m/sec or more, smooth rotation of the hub 5 is kept, disturbance of winding is dissolved, a good audio cassette of which quality is stable can be produced, and production efficiency can be improved.
