Analytical method for the quantitative determination of ginsenosides in a sample. Comprises (a) preparation of the extraction solvents by mixing chloroform, hydrochloric acid and n-butanol, obtaining an organic phase (mixture A) and an aqueous phase (mixture B), (b) extraction of the total ginsenosides from the sample with mixtures A and B, (c) preparation of a blank, (d) preparation of an acid reagent based on acetic acid and sulphuric acid, (e) colorimetric reaction of the extract and the blank with the acid reagent and (f) spectrophotometrical determination at 520 nm. Application in the field of analytical chemistry applied to the context of the coffee industry.
