摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase reliability of a battery by improving the gelatinous zinc negative electrode of the zinc alkaline battery, and suppressing the occurrence of hydrogen gas in the battery. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method of the gelatinous zinc negative electrode 4 of a zinc alkaline battery, a gelatinizer and a solid powdery additive are uniformly mixed in dry condition in advance, this mixture and an alkaline electrolyte are stirred and mixed to form a gelatinous electrolyte, and the gelatinous electrolyte and zinc alloy powder are stirred and mixed under decompression. The zinc alloy powder is not crushed in this method, the generation quantity of hydrogen gas is decreased, the solid powdery additive is uniformly dispersed, thus the reliability of the battery can be increased.
