CORE COMPRESSING MECHANISM FOR HEAT EXCHANGER ASSEMBLY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core compressing mechanism for a heat exchanger assembly device in which a core compression width can be made constant and the length of the device can be decreased. SOLUTION: A core compressing mechanism 11 compresses a core to a prescribed attaching width by pressing a movable plate 17 to a fixed plate 16 on the surface of a table 15. A toggle mechanism 20 is used as a driving means for the movable plate 17, so that the core can be always compressed at a prescribed stroke without receiving the influence of reaction force upon compressing of the core. Since a toggle cylinder 25 can be disposed in the direction intersecting the direction for compressing the core, the length of a device can be decreased.
