PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable spraying of a spacer solution on a substrate without generating abnormal alignment and to provide a method for surely manufacturing a fine liquid crystal display. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing comprises spraying spacers on the first substrate of two substrates with electrodes, disposing the second substrate on it to face oppositely, and injecting liquid crystal in between. In this case, the spacers have 59 deg.-135 deg. contact angle between the surface and water. The spraying of the spacers is carried out by using a mixed solvent of at least a kind of alcohols and at least a kind of fluorocarbons as a dispersing medium.
