PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by which fusion and contamination to a toner carrier, a toner applying member, etc., are not generated, lowering of image intensity, uneveness and fogging of image are not generated and excellent long-lived durability can be attained especially in a low moisture environment. SOLUTION: Toner has (1) negative electrostatic chargeability, (2) When a dispersed liquid is irradiated with ultrasonic wave for 5 minutes, content C1 of particles of 0.6 μm<= to <2.0 μm is 3 to 50 number % and when irradiated for 1 minute, content C2 thereof is 2 to 40 number % and value C of (C1/C2)×100 is 100 to 150. (3) Form factor of the toner SF-1 is 100 to 160 and SF-2 is 100 to 140. (4) Weight average grain size of the toner by a coal tar method is 4 to 10 μm. In a toner applying means, the surface being in contact with the toner is formed of at least a polyamide resin or a polyamide elastomer. The surface of the toner carrier is formed of a resin layer and central line surface roughness Ra of the surface is 0.3 to 3.5. |
