PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner device which has the external size made small and thin to be convenient to carry and reads all information on a read face of a book without damaging the book. SOLUTION: A fluid 2 in a fluid tank 3 is undulated by an undulation forming means to form a fluid mirror 6, which has first and second inclined wave surfaces 6a and 6b moving in the subscanning direction, on a fluid surface 2a, and an information medium 9 is irradiated with light L through the first wave surface 6a of the fluid mirror 6, and reflected light L' from the information medium 9 is received through the second wave surface 6b of the fluid mirror 6 by a light receiver 8.
