PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optical waveguide parts which may be molded with good productivity, may be produced without the exertion of large load on metal molds and allow easy positioning to optical fibers and active elements with high accuracy in a large quantity by including a first optical member and second optical member formed with core pattern grooves into these parts and bonding these members to a position where the respective core pattern grooves formed on the first optical member and the second optical member face each other and overlap on each other and a process for producing the same. SOLUTION: The first optical member 21 and the second optical member 22 are subjected to press forming in order to form the prescribed core pattern grooves 20a on their surfaces by using the metal molds 20 and a high refractive index material is held by the first and second optical members 21, 22 to form a core layer 23a. As another method, the prescribed core pattern grooves are press formed on the surfaces of the first optical member and the second optical member. After the first and second optical members 21, 22 are directly adhered, the high refractive index material is packed by capillarity into the cavities in the form of the core patterns. |
