PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the capacity of a filter capacitor for converter and to miniaturize a device without especially increasing the speed of the operation of the PWM control circuit of a converter and without deteriorating the precision of neutral point voltage control, in the controller of an AC electric vehicle where a three level converter and a two level inverter are combined. SOLUTION: In an AC electric vehicle, a three level converter 3 converting AC power into DC power, a filter capacitor for converter 5 which outputs the three potentials of a positive potential, neutral point potential and negative potential for smoothing the DC circuit voltage of the converter, and a two level inverter 4 converting DC power into AC power, are installed, and AC is set to be power. A filter capacitor for inverter 6, which outputs the three potentials of positive potential, neutral point potential and negative potential for smoothing the DC circuit voltage of the inverter, is installed. The neutral point potential terminals of the filter capacitors of the converter and the inverter are connected. |
