PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified Internet connection method by allowing an exchange side to connect a subscriber to an Internet. SOLUTION: Routers 71, 72 are contained in the exchange system using an ATM switch 4 to attain dial-up connection from the exchange 2 to the Internet 73 via the routers 71, 72, and the communication charge is imposed depending on a line connection time in the case of voice communication and is imposed depending on an information amount in the case of the Internet connection.
