PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide facsimile equipment that can effectively deal with even troublesome telephone reception and troublesome facsimile reception in the facsimile equipment in which switching to a telephone mode is possible. SOLUTION: In facsimile equipment in which switching of a facsimile mode and a telephone mode is possible and which is connected to a public telephone network equipped with a transmitter's number informing function, an RAM 3 is equipped with an another party telephone number table which has a telephone number of the other telephone set reception of which one desires to refuse stored and a transmitter's number detection part 11 for detecting the transmitter's number received from the public telephone network. When a main control part 1 collates the transmitter's number detected by the transmitter's number detection part 11 to the telephone number stored in the other party telephone number table and decides that the telephone number coincident with the transmitter's number is stored, a network control device 6 is controlled and the facsimile mode is forced to be switched to.
