mechanism for laterally inclining a mast M and its rig comprises a tube 1 formed to a radius onto which a straight hollow housing 3 is affixed vertically to the centre of the formed tube housing mast M. A plurality of struts 2 are affixed to mast housing 2 connecting the mast housing to the formed tube constituting a structure which supports mast M and its stays as one unit. A plurality of rollers 4 are mounted in a cradle which conforms to the radius of the structure supporting the weight of the mast, rig, and structure, and allows the structure to be moved in either direction within the cradle. A means of powering 6 powers the structure in the cradle against wind pressure or the force of gravity. A means of locking 7 locks the structure in the cradle so the mechanism can be held stationary if desired. The mechanism enables the user to laterally incline the mast and rig against wind pressure or the force of gravity and the user can secure the mechanism by means of a lock or brake if necessary.
