<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prospecting method where a device for transmitting and receiving wave signals is aligned easily on the ground surface, a practical prospecting speed can be secured, and position measurement accuracy on the ground surface is high in a prospecting method for emitting wave signals into a medium while traveling on the ground surface and receiving reflection signals from an object in the medium, generating three-dimensional voxel data with a position on the ground surface for reflection signal strength and reflection time as coordinates (x0, y0, t), and detecting the position of the object based on the three-dimensional box cell data. SOLUTION: Each traveling distance of a pair of fixed wheels 7R and 7L where rotary shafts for supporting a transmission/reception device 10 are coaxial is measured by a distance member 19 that is provided at the fixed wheels 7R and 7L, the position coordinates of a specified wheel 29 in a measurement coordinates system determined by a starting point S and the initial attitude of the specified wheel 29 at one side in the fixed wheels 7R and 7L and a direction (X, Y,θ) are calculated, and specific coordinates (X0, Y0) in the transmission/reception device 10 are obtained from the result.</p> |
