<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle wherein the full performance of an idle stop system is delivered without mounting a large-capacity alternator or battery, by coordinating an exciter-type retarder and an alternator. SOLUTION: A battery 2 is provided with a specific gravity sensor 7, a computer unit 8 which selectively instructs the generating function or auxiliary brake function of the exciter of a retarder and controls the function, a drive unit 11 which performs switching based on the signal, and a DC-DC converter 12 which converts the power when the generating function of the retarder is active. When the specific gravity of the battery liquid exceeds a preset threshold, the generated power on the retarder side is supplied to the battery.</p> |
