PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mounting device, by which a name plate is attached simply to the outer frame of an electric rotating machine, which is composed of an aluminum die casting. SOLUTION: Protrusions 6 are formed integrally on an outer frame 1 so as to match mounting holes in a name plate 2. The name plate 2 is fitted to the protrusions 6. After that, head parts 6a of the protrusions 6 are caulked, and the name plate 2 is fixed. As compared with the conventional methods in which mounting holes are made in the outer frame 1 in advance and in which nails are driven so as to fix the name plate 2, a preworking operation such as a hole boring operation or the like and a mounting component such as a nail or the like are not required, and the number of working man-hours and the number of components can be reduced.
