PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily attain the switching of antenna elements. SOLUTION: An antenna array 10 is constituted so that N pieces of traveling wave antennas 12a-12n for transmission and N pieces of traveling wave antennas 14a-14n for reception can orthogonally cross each other. Each traveling wave antenna 12 and 14 is connected with SPNT switchers 16 and 20 so that the arbitrary traveling antenna for transmission and reception can be selected. Each traveling wave antenna 12 and 14 is provided with N plane patch antennas 18a-18n and 32a-32n being antenna elements, and those patch antennas are connected through waveguides 30 and 34.
