Determining wind speed communicated across rotor of wind power plant using rotor torque and windspeed and alteration of torque by disturbance of windflow through tower of wind plant

The method is carried out so that the alteration of the torque by the disturbance of the wind flow through the tower(2) of the wind power plant is used to solve the ambiguity of the torque characteristic. The axial force (rotor thrust) exerted by the wind flow on the rotor in conjunction with the one time measured interrelation of the rotor thrust and the wind speed (rotor thrust characteristic), is used for the solving of the ambiguity of the torque characteristic, and also if the rotor thrust characteristic itself is ambiguous.
