PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the effective transfer of data by outputting a transport stream to a CAM, reading out the transport contents, specifying the unnecessary data, eliminating at least some of unnecessary data and sending the transport stream data which are not eliminated. SOLUTION: A digital TV receiver 15 receives a scrambled transport stream and sends it to a conditional access CAM 26. The CAM 26 descrambles the received transport stream and sends it back to the receiver 15. The receiver 15 has a transport stream switch to route the transport stream supplied from the CAM 26 to a digital video tape recorder DVTR 16. At the same time, the transport stream is transferred via a 3rd isochronous channel.
