CHIP BREAKER FOR ROTARY CUTTING TOOL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen the effective range of the chip flowing direction by a chip breaker by forming the chip breaker provided on a rotary cutting tool and breaking chips in contact with chips into a rectangle pole or a square pole. SOLUTION: A chip breaker 13 of a triangle pole is provided on the rotating button tool 12 of a rotary cutting tool 11. When a work 14 is lathe-cut by the rotary cutting tool 11, chips 15 are brought into contact with one of three column faces of the chip breaker 13 and are folded and broken. The flowing direction 16 of the chips 15 and the directions of the normal lines of column faces where the chips 15 are kept in contact with the chip breaker 13 coincide with each other three times while the button tool 12 is rotated once. The chips 15 can be broken three times while the button tool 12 is rotated once.
