PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small sized device capable of dehydrate/solidify slurry at a low cost and its using method. SOLUTION: The dehydration device is provided with a housing 31 having an opening part 37 and a drain port 38, a dehydration strainer 32 housed inside the housing, plural through holes 46 pierced into a wall face of the strainer 32, a pusher 33 forcedly fitted into the side of the strainer 32, a support part 35 to support the pusher 33 near an opening part of the housing 31 and a cylinder 34 supported to the support part and to operate forced fitting of the pusher 33. In the using method, a bag shape bag filter is mounted in the dehydration strainer 32 beforehand, after slurry is charged in the bag filter, the bag filter is closed, the support part 35 is arranged near an opening part of the housing 31, the pusher 33 is forcedly fitted into the dehydration strainer 32, after appropriately pressurizing and dehydrating, a whole including the bag filter is taken out.
