RED TIDE ELIMINATING COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR GETTING RID OF RED TIDE

PURPOSE: A slow-released red tide eliminating composition is provided to have an excellent effect for eliminating a red tide by being dispersed for a uniform density in a short time. CONSTITUTION: A red tide eliminating composition comprising (a) at least one (polyoxyalkylene) fatty acid ester of the general formula (1):RCOO(AO)nH (wherein R is C7-C22 alkyl or alkylene; n is an integer of 1 to 30; and AO is C2-C4 alkylene oxide) and (b) at least one powdery adsorbent, the amounts of the components (a) and (b) being 1 to 70 % by weight and 99 to 30 % by weight, respectively, based on the sum total of the components (a) and (b); and a method for getting rid of red tide with this composition.
