NOVEL PHENYLENEthiamineS AND ITS PREPARING METHOD

PURPOSE: Phenylenethiamines are useful as intermediates for synthesis of pyridonecarboxylic acid derivatives use as antibacterial agents CONSTITUTION: Phenylenethiamines represented by general formula(1):wherein R represents an alkyl group or an optionally substituted aralkyl group, X¬1 represents a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom, and X¬2 represents a halogen atom. Preparing method of phenylenethiamines comprises the steps of: nitration of benzoic acid derivative; oxidation of nitrobenzoic acid derivative; reaction with alcohol; and reduction of nitroaniline derivative.
