PURPOSE:To prevent step-out when a rotor having stopped poles is again rotated by exciting a phase previously selected at a first stage and a phase except a phase at a position separated at 180 deg. except the phase at a second stage, and moving the poles of the rotor. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a 4-phase pulse motor to be driven by a two-phase excitation, when IV-I phases are excited by a phase deciding current, a rotor is not moved if poles of the rotor is disposed at positions of the IV-I phases, and moved to a position R2 of the IV-I phase if the poles are disposed at a position of I-II phases or position R1 of III-IV phases. Then, when the I-II phases except a phase disposed at a position separated at 180 deg. from a position F1 of the phase excited at a first stage is excited except the phase excited at the first stage by a phase detecting current at a second stage, since the IV-I phases are excited at the first stage, the poles of the rotor are disposed at the position R2 of the IV-I phases or the position of the II-III phases, and always moved to a position F2 of the I-II phases. Accordingly, a pulse motor is not stepped out when the rotor is again rotated. |
