PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To seal and lubricate the upper bearing of a balancer shaft with a simple structure by sealing the end parts of a crankshaft and the balancer shaft by use of a seal member covering both the shaft ends extending over the both. SOLUTION: An oil seal housing 45, which is a seal member, is provided on the upper surface of a crank chamber 10. The oil seal housing 45 has a flat plate covering both the upper part of a crankshaft 11 and the upper part of a balancer shaft 41 extending over the both. The upper part of the crankshaft 11 and balancer shaft 41 arranged within the crank chamber 10 formed by combining a cylinder block 5 with a crankcase is sealed by use of the oil seal housing 45, which is the seal member having the flat plate 46 covering it extending over the both. Accordingly, the bearing parts 32, 42 of both the shafts can be sealed with a small number of part items, and the number of assembling processes can be also reduced. |
