PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently use a catalyst over a long period by measuring the concentration of sulfur oxide and ammonia in a waste gas and treating it in a waste gas temp. range defined by a specific equation based on the concentration, in the case of decomposing and removing an aromatic organic chlorine compound contained in the waste gas with the catalyst. SOLUTION: Each of measuring means 5-7 for a sulfur oxide concentration (a), an ammonia concentration (b) and the temp. of a waste gas is arranged at the inlet side of a catalytic layer 1 and the waste gas temp. is controlled based on the detected result by a controller 8 being a heating control means through a waste gas heating means 4. At this time, the treatment is carried out in the temp. range obtained by equations I and II from each detected value. Equation I: a waste gas temp. ( deg.C)=(160+100(1-Exp(-A/200)))±3% (where, A=a+0.2b+b(a+b)/a), (when a>=b). Equation II: a waste gas ( deg.C)=(160+100(1-Exp(-A//200)))±3% (where, A=a+0.2b+a(a+b)/b), (when a<b).
|
