PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate defects such as catches when a side shifter is in the process of shift displacement. SOLUTION: A liner member 48 which is integrally-formed with a lower carrier 43 of a side shifter so as to be shiftable and formed out of a material having such outstanding sliding performance as not to collide with a lower sliding bar 57 on the forklift body side to generate catches or the like even if the shift frame body of the side shifter is displaced from a normal sliding displacement direction, caused by a phenomenon such as floating in the process of shift displacement, is slidably-mounted around a horizontal shaft 47 perpendicular to the sliding displacement direction. If the shift frame body 41 is displaced, only the top surface 49 of the liner member 48 comes into sliding contact with the bottom surface 57a of the lower sliding bar 57, thus it is possible for the slide frame body 41 of the side sifter to perform stable shift displacement.
